Ce fut le premier combat de six rounds de Vijender et l'Indien à la hauteur de sa promesse, comme il a dit qu'il va envelopper beaucoup plus tôt que l'heure prévue.
Plus tôt, le médaillé de bronze des Jeux de Pékin a battu Sonny Whiting et Dean Gillen de tenir un dossier de 2-0 dans les combats de trois rondes.
star Indian boxer Vijender Singh kept his unbeaten run intact since turning pro earlier in the year with a victory over Samet Huseinov of Bulgaria via Technical Knock-Out. He knocked-out Huseinov in the second round to record his third straight win in pro boxing.
This was Vijender's first six rounds bout and the Indian lived up to his promise as he said he will wrap it up much earlier than the stipulated time.
Earlier, the Beijing Games bronze medalist thrashed Sonny Whiting and Dean Gillen to hold a 2-0 record in three-round fights.
