Vyjayanthimala

Vyjayanthimala est né de l'actrice et danseuse Vasundhara Devi dans une famille de langue tamoule à Chennai, en Inde, le 13 août 1936.

À l'âge de 4 ans, elle a eu la rare chance d'effectuer une danse devant le pape. Puis, à l'âge de 15 ans, alors qu'elle était en dernière année à l'école, elle a été enrôlée par un ami de la famille, M.V. Raman, pour un rôle dans un film tamoul 'Vazhkai'. Ce film a été couronné de succès au box-office et a été refait en hindi en 1951 et publié sous le nom de «Bahaar».

Depuis son entrée dans les films à partir de 1949, cette actrice, qui maîtrise également Bharat Natyam, est apparue dans environ 62 films, la plupart d'entre eux en hindi. Sa carrière a duré de 1949 à 1989. Elle a reçu un total de cinq récompenses pour ses performances dans «Devdas», «Sadhna», «Ganga Jamuna» et «Sangam», ainsi qu'un prix de réalisation à vie en 1995.

Ses numéros de danse, tels que «Hothon Pe Aisi Baat Main Dabake Chali Aai ...», «Man Dole Mera Tan Doley ...»; 'Chad Gaiyo Paapi Bichua ...'; 'Main Ka Karu Ram Mujhey Bouddha Mil Gaya' continuent d'être populaires même aujourd'hui. Elle a fait des vagues quand elle est apparue dans un maillot de bain rouge feu dans 'Sangam'. Elle a aussi ouvert la voie à d'autres actrices sud-indiennes, comme Hema Malini, Rekha, Sridevi, etc. pour faire une transition vers Bollywood. Sa carrière a été dirigée par sa grand-mère, Yadugiri Devi.

Elle a épousé le médecin personnel de Raj Kapoor, le Dr Chamanlal Bali après avoir divorcé de sa première femme et déménagé à Chennai, où elle a donné naissance à un fils, l'acteur Suchindra Bali.

Après avoir abandonné le cinéma, Vyjantimala s'est lancé dans l'élevage de crevettes, a ouvert une académie de danse et s'est même intéressé activement à la politique. Avec le soutien du Parti du Congrès d'Indira Gandhi, il a été élu député dans les années 1980. Elle a choisi de quitter la politique en raison de divergences de principes en 1999.

Après le décès de son mari, elle réside maintenant à Chennai, avec son fils, qui est un aspirant acteur à part entière, et s'est complètement retiré de Bollywood, en particulier, et des films en général, même si elle aurait facilement pu continuer pour une autre décennie.

L'une de ses chansons, 'Naya Daur', initialement en noir et blanc, a été colorisée et réédité.

En 2007, elle a publié son autobiographie intitulée "Bonding", où elle a révélé qu'elle n'avait pas de liaison avec Raj Kapoor, son principal acteur et réalisateur de "Sangam" (1964).

En 2011, son fils Suchindra et sa belle-fille Nandini lui ont présenté un petit-fils nommé Swara.




Vyjayanthimala was born to actress and dancer Vasundhara Devi in a Tamil-speaking family in Chennai, India, on August 13, 1936.

At the age of 4, she got the rare chance of performing a dance before the Pope. Then at the age of 15, while in her final year at school, she was signed-up by a family friend, M.V. Raman, for a role in a Tamil film 'Vazhkai'. This movie was successful at the box office and was re-made in Hindi during 1951 and released as 'Bahaar'.

Since her entry into films from 1949, this actress, who is also proficient in Bharat Natyam, has appeared in approximately 62 movies, the majority of them in the Hindi language. Her career spanned from 1949 through to 1989. She has received a total of five awards for her performances in 'Devdas', 'Sadhna', 'Ganga Jamuna', and 'Sangam', as well as a lifetime achievement award during 1995.

Her dance numbers, such as 'Hothon Pe Aisi Baat Main Dabake Chali Aai...', 'Man Dole Mera Tan Doley...'; 'Chad Gaiyo Paapi Bichua...'; 'Main Ka Karu Ram Mujhey Buddha Mil Gaya' continue to be popular even today. She made waves when she appeared in a fire red swimsuit in 'Sangam'. She also paved the way for other South Indian actresses, like Hema Malini, Rekha, Sridevi, etc. to make a transition to Bollywood. Her career was managed by her grandmother, Yadugiri Devi.

She married Raj Kapoor's personal physician, Dr Chamanlal Bali after he divorced his first wife and relocated to Chennai, where she gave birth to a son, actor Suchindra Bali.

After quitting films, Vyjantimala took up shrimp farming, opened up a dance academy, even took an active interest in politics, and with the backing of Indira Gandhi's Congress Party was elected Member of Parliament during the 1980s. She chose to quit politics due to principled differences during 1999.

After the passing of her husband, she now resides in Chennai, with her son, who is an aspiring actor in his own right, and has removed herself completely from Bollywood, in particular, and movies in general, though she could have easily continued on for another decade.

One of her hits 'Naya Daur', originally in Black & White, has now been colourized, and re-released.

In 2007, she published her autobiography titled "Bonding," where she revealed that she didn't have an affair with Raj Kapoor, her leading man and director from "Sangam" (1964).

In 2011, her son Suchindra and daughter-in-law Nandini presented her with a grandchild named Swara.

The wedding ceremony took place on April 6 and was disclosed only today by the actor.

Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif’s newest version of the wax statue was recently unveiled at New York’s Madame Tussauds. The 'Baar Baar Dekho' actor's statue is in a sequinned lehenga choli which has been made available online since April 14. However, Katrina's wax statue has garnered mixed reaction as a majority doesn't seem quite impressed.

While a section of Katrina's fans liked the pictures of her statue, many expressed their dislike. “I feel her nose is not perfect and even her lips,” said a user while another said, “I don’t think that it is good because Katrina is more beautiful."

Apart from Katrina, the museum of New York’s Madame Tussaud’s also has the statues of celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie, Taylor Swift and Lionel Messi.

'Raazi' 2018

La fille chérie du cinéaste Mahesh Bhatt, Alia, a fait ses débuts dans le film commercial de masan 'Student Of The Year' de Karan Johar en 2012. Elle est devenue novice pour s'asseoir confortablement dans une catégorie d'actrice acclamée avec des performances exceptionnelles. -après-année.

Après sa percée dans 'Udta Punjab', l'actrice revient avec un récit graveleux dans 'Raazi' de Meghna Gulzar. Le film est un thriller et s'avère être une adaptation du roman Calling Sehmat de Harinder Sikka. Alia joue un espion indien marié à un pakistanais, ici joué par Vicky Kaushal, pendant la guerre indo-pakistanaise de 1971.

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's darling daughter Alia made her debut in Karan Johar's out-and-out masala commercial film 'Student Of The Year' in 2012. She graduated from being a novice to sitting comfortably in an acclaimed actress category with some powerpack performances which followed year-after-year.

After her breakthrough act in 'Udta Punjab', the actress is back with a gritty narrative in Meghna Gulzar's 'Raazi'. The film is a thriller and happens to be an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat. Alia plays an Indian spy married to a Pakistani man, here played by Vicky Kaushal, during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
